I remember what love felt like today, being here, NOW, present
Enough for all, no dancing for my share
The clinging fingers of yesterday’s unfulfilled desires dropped their grip
And the ”little voice” did not compare
Content not to make major headlines today
Free of the seductive urges of future plans
My whole body moaned at the nourishment that life can bring
And I was just helping my friend Penny, cook the beans
